Privacy Policy

Overview

SteadFast ("the App") is an intermittent fasting timer and tracker. This Privacy Policy explains what data the App collects, how it is stored, and your rights regarding that data.

The short version: SteadFast collects no personal information, creates no user accounts, and sends no data to any server. Everything you enter stays on your device.

Data We Collect

The App stores the following data locally on your device only:

• Fasting session records (start time, end time, duration, protocol)
• Body measurements you enter (weight, height, goal weight)
• App preferences (theme, unit system)
• Saved motivational quotes (Wall of Resolve)
• Onboarding completion flag

All data is stored using your browser's localStorage API. It never leaves your device.

Data We Do NOT Collect

• No name, email address, or contact information
• No account registration or login credentials
• No location data
• No device identifiers or advertising IDs
• No usage analytics or behavioral tracking
• No crash reports or diagnostic data sent externally

Third-Party Services

SteadFast does not integrate with any third-party analytics, advertising, or data broker services. The App loads fonts from Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com) for typography rendering. Google's standard font delivery does not associate font requests with your identity or fasting data.

Push Notifications

If you grant notification permission, the App uses your browser's Web Notifications API to display fasting milestone alerts. These notifications are generated entirely on-device by the App's service worker. No notification content is transmitted to any external server.

You can revoke notification permission at any time in your device's browser or system settings.

Data Retention and Deletion

Your data persists in localStorage until you clear it. To delete all App data:

• Individual fasting sessions: Use the trash icon on any entry in the Recent Fasts log.
• All App data: Clear your browser's site data for this app in your device settings (Settings → Browser → Clear Site Data), or uninstall the app.

Children's Privacy

SteadFast is designed for adults aged 18 and older. The App does not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. If you believe a child has entered data into the App, you can clear it by following the deletion steps above.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes materially, the updated version will be posted at this URL with a revised effective date. Continued use of the App after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
